Wayne Baer, Principal

Wayne graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame in 1982 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting. Upon graduation, he was employed by Ernst & Young (formerly Arthur Young and Company). In 1985, he accepted a position with a privately held, retail chain based in Florida, as the Budgeting Manager and was promoted to Corporate Accounting Manager.

In 1990, Wayne began his career in the commercial real estate appraisal profession. Since then, he has performed various appraisal and consulting assignments. He has appraised a variety of commercial properties including industrial buildings, manufacturing plants, office buildings, apartments, shopping centers, restaurants, hotels and other real estate properties. In 1992, he became licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in the State of Indiana. In 1995, he was conferred with the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.

Presently he is the only individual in Indiana and one of the few professionals in the United States that has both the MAI designation as conferred by the Appraisal Institute and the ABV (Accredited Business Valuator) designation by the American Institute of CPAs.

Wayne has been involved in the leadership of his profession. He has served as the Education Chairman, Secretary/Treasurer, Vice President and President for the Hoosier State Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. Wayne is also a charter member of the Indiana Commercial Board of Realtors and has also previously served on the Real Estate Education Advisory Council for the State of Indiana as well as the Litigation Services Committee and the Real Estate Committee for the Indiana CPA Society.
